I’d like to talk about Lan, my former colleague and a close friend, who is an avid reader. I first met Lan a few years ago when we started working together at a school. We quickly became friends, and I noticed that she always carried a book or a Kindle with her wherever she went, whether it was during breaks or while commuting.

Lan reads a wide variety of genres, but I think her favorites are self-development books and novels. She has shared many titles with me, most of which are truly inspiring. For example, I vividly remember her telling me about a book on time management that completely transformed the way she organized her day and boosted her productivity. She also enjoys reading novels by Vietnamese authors. Once, she mentioned that she particularly loves these books because they convey Vietnam’s culture and values, which she’s passionate about understanding.

I think Lan loves reading because it helps her relax and expand her knowledge. She’s always eager to learn something new, and books allow her to explore different perspectives and gain fresh insights. What I admire most about her is that she often applies what she learns from books to real-life situations. For instance, she has improved her teaching methods based on ideas from educational books, and she often gives her friends thoughtful advice rooted in the lessons she’s learned.

Her love for reading is contagious, and she has inspired me to pick up books more regularly as well. Recently, I’ve started exploring some of the titles she recommended, and I plan to make reading a consistent habit in the future. I’m confident that Lan will continue to inspire those around her with her enthusiasm for reading and learning.
